All Cotons are adopted on a spay/neuter agreement, meaning that your Coton Cottage puppy is being adopted without breeding rights. _______please Int. here
The parents of our puppies are show/breeding quality imported with FCI registration. We hope for all puppies to be show/breeding quality but that is not always the case. For a puppy to be considered for show/breeding rights, they must have 100% confirmation to the breed. Show/breeding rights must be considered before a puppy can be adopted with full registration. This meaning the puppy has excellent pigment, coat, size, excellent bite/teeth alignment, etc.

If for any reason you have second thoughts about this adoption process please feel free to ask us any questions, do not sign this agreement if you are uncertain about the puppy agreement or the adoption process.
When placing a deposit to hold a puppy this is a "trust". The Coton de Tulear puppy will be held for you until your Coton de Tulear puppy is ready to leave their Dam, only after 8 weeks of age and when the puppy is eating well on her or his own. The Dam will be allowed to wean the puppy and the litter as she feels necessary, we never remove the Dam from the litter. With the signing of this agreement you are purchasing a full blooded Coton de Tulear. All puppies are treated the same amount of love, care and a high level of socialization not only with adults and children but with our four adult Cotons.
All the puppies in the litter receive full care from a state licensed veterinarian, to include de-wormings, injections and complete exams.
Puppies are required to be picked up by the time they are ten weeks of age, or shipped by air. If any time later it must be agreed upon in advance.
All expenses involved with picking up your Coton de Tulear puppy are that of the family or individual adopting the Coton. Shipping is an additional $350.00 to an international airport near your home. This pays for the airline ticket, airline approved crate, trip to the airport and the health certificate issued in the name of the new parents.
Payment for the Coton de Tulear
~The deposit of $500.00 must be in the form of a cashiers check from a major bank. Sorry but to the current banking problems and returned personal checks we had to impliment this into our puppy agreement/health agreement. If you send to us any thing other than a cashier's check it will be returned to you and the puppy you slected will not be held. The balance due after the deposit must be in the form of a cashier's check as well, sorry no exceptions.
~The deposit is "non-refundable", there are no exceptions. Make sure that you are signing this agreement with full knowledge that this is an adoption/purchase. There is no room for changing your mind, reasons such as -- no longer wanting a puppy, found one else where, these do not apply. We have encountered experienced scammers that submit applications and sign puppy agreements and then want their money returned for reasons unknown. The actual intent is to recover the deposit from the breeder and also stop payment on a cashiers check or personal check, this is fraud, as they end up a double amount of what they actually paid to the breeder.
When you reserve the puppy of your choice and place a deposit all the advertising for the selected Coton de Tulear puppy is stopped, thus the puppy is no longer shown for adoption on the web site or advertised at UKC dog shows or other dog shows we attend.
It is unfair and cruel for any puppy to go to his/her new home, adjust to the new surroundings, then the new owner or family decide they do not want the Coton de Tulear puppy. We consider this adoption process as a "serious" commitment.
Our Cotons are vet checked several times, come with a one year health gurantee against genetic disorders that can not be corrected by surgery or medications. This does not cover dieases, virus or illness as a result of the Coton de Tulear puppy not receiving all necessary puppy injections, proper food being served to the puppy, or food realted reactions that dogs are known to be allergic to, as well as accidents.
Buyer agrees to maintain immunizations against Parvo administered by a state licensed veterinarian. Buyer should not take the puppy to public places, parks, camp grounds where the Coton de Tulear could contract Parvo. Some time should pass after the puppy has had his or her five injections [ some vets only require 4 or 5 injections], a puppy needs to had TLC during their early years and not subjected to public places where Parvo and other dieases are prevelent. Parvo to a puppy is virturally a death sentence.
Your Coton Cottage Coton comes with original health records, copy of the vet check and bill that has been paid in full. Puppy packet of food, new toys, new towel or blanket and a complete outline of your puppies daily life.
All puppies are adopted on a spay/neuter agreement, the surgery must be completed by the time the puppy is 7 months of age, no sooner than six months of age. If you fail to send the proof of your puppy being spay or neutered within 8 months we can not guarantee that the date has not expired on the registration transfer of ownership, timing is necessary.
Buyer agrees never to sell their Coton from Coton Cottage to a research lab or pet shop. And agrees to return the Coton de Tulear if they find out their life style has changed and can no longer provide a loving, caring and healthy home for the Coton de Tulear. We want the process to be a happy, healthy and highly positive experience for the Coton de Tulear and the new parents.
Please contact us for the complete Puppy Agreement as the web site and documents are being changed due to the recent encounter with an experienced scam artist.
